• Check references (ask about the quality of workmanship, budget adherence, timeliness, clean and safe job site, etc.)
• Get three bids – do not just go with the first bid you get.
• Get a written contract, and be sure that a dispute resolution is included within it.
• Verify insurance – he (and the other workers) should have Workman’s Compensation Insurance, General Liability Insurance, and Automobile Insurance.
